Merry Christmas 'Tree' Spread

Merry Christmas!
Christmas tree
As I thought over what to bring you for the Christmas season, my attention was drawn to my Oracle Deck - The Enchanted Map by Colette Baron-Reid. And then, I went poking around for ideas for the spread to use for this enchanted season. We shall call it the 'Christmas Tree Spread'.

Card 1 - Tree Trunk - What supports you/brings you strength?
Card 2, 3, 4 - Branches - Lessons you've learned during the year?
Card 5, 6 - Decorations - Your greatest accomplishments during the year?
Card 7 - The Star - A message for you as you begin a New Year?

A Sample Reading:

What supports you/brings you strength?

20 Flying - You've managed to rise above, to allow yourself to see things from a different perspective.  This gives you the strength and ability to align with your higher self. It's time to soar.

Lessons you've learned during the year?

18 Magic Stream, reversed - You've learned that you can't go against the current, although you've continued to try. It's time to stop trying and just jump in and float along. True inspiration and creativity will come to you.

2 Gentle Gardener - My first thought upon seeing this card was 'patience'. You've learned to linger and wait, to think and grow. Your mind and the thoughts you allow are the foundation for your reality. What you think, is what will be.

35 Education - A quote within the book on this card says it all ~ "Life is filled with lessons. Be teachable."

Your greatest accomplishments during the year?

14 Riding the Wave - You've worked hard and now you are here - on the edge of a wave, headed in the right direction. All that you know -  skills, talents, hopes, dreams - will carry you forward.

16 Rescue - Asking for help may be difficult, but it is what's necessary. Spirit is available upon your call. Don't be afraid to ask for assistance, you will be answered.

A message for you as you begin a New Year?

19 Dragon's Lair - "You are always protected and Divinely directed."

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
